"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different".. Coco Chanel. I shall live and die by this quote. Be who you want to be, not who someone wants you to be, it honestly is the difference between being happy and not. I aim to blog about fashion and all that surrounds it.

Hocus Pocus

It may be April but today I felt like one of the Witches of Oz today with my new little winkle pickers on!

Bad or good... I'm not sure which but I was also regarded as 'Bad ass Barbie Beth' today... Work on a Saturday seems to make us all a little nutty.

I'm off to see the wizard now,

Ashford, take two!!

It's been a couple of months since I graced the circular shopping outlet with my excitement for all things new and shiny.. So between Christmas and New Year, for once, I braved the sales (mainly because I was owed a Christmas present).

I was surprised that it wasn't more manic but also hugely grateful, sales stress me out far too quickly and most of the time i'd rather pay full price. One shop we went into (which I shall not name!!!) I stopped on the threshold and turned around due to the sheer lack of organisation and respect of the pretty things strewn all over every possible flat surface! Anyway, after I took a deep breath I found it in me to carry on.. I entered Kurt Geiger.. It did look like a swarm of locust's had passed through, but luckily, being a big footed 7.. I found some little beauties that needed a new home! It was fate and a typical example of 'you don't ask, you don't get!'. So Kurt... Thank you! I love them.

After such a bargain in Kurt Geiger, I was still owed another little pressie from the boyfriend, so I continued to bustle away to find my next bargain. Ted Baker was heaving but I knew it would be worth the good fight.. Although it didn't end up as well as I had hoped, a few things didn't fit and so on. I do have to mention the amazing shop window though.. Loved the V.M going on with a quivering turkey in a box!

Originally £120. Outlet price: £35. BARGAINNN
I ended up in Reiss after doing the circuit and bought a shirt that I loved from the beginning. It's a little different but it also matches my new heels perfectly! Both items were 'firsts' for me, the Carvela's and the Reiss item. I need to also say about the staff in Reiss.. they were so lovely, I say 'just for a outlet', but they made me not want to leave. So thank you for caring!

All for now, take care

KG, Kurts killing me Gently..

London is a place that will always hold secrets in every little corner, it's only recently that my subconscious became conscious as it drew me in rapidly to Kurt Geiger in Covent Garden.. Aladdin's cave for any shoe addict like myself.

I've only ever graced the entrance of the store due to my skittish excited tendencies around all things beautiful but this day. This day I descended the huge staircase into a mirrored wonderland.

Nearly every angle was a mirrored wall, which at first I thought a assistant walked clean through a wall, yet you turn the corner and, WOW. The layout is just beautiful, there's not many other ways you could present such beauties so well. Even the accessories on their tiered cushion pedestals, every little detail was clearly planned.

Cutest little bracelets ever! I really want the bottom one...

Somehow I restrained myself.. Like never before! I left empty handed, yet it haunted me all day and night. If you haven't visited the Covent Garden store, you really must. I know it's been there ages but... I love it!

Online Shopper

One of my friends emailed me earlier today asking me to give a hand with helping get a outfit together as she is going out next week for drinks with a small group of friends.. Of course I willing accepted. Got all my little details, i.e., how much she was willing to spend, what kind of style and who was going and where. I got what I needed and let my fingers hit the keyboard googling away.

I love the girl to pieces but her love for girly style is not existent... The day I saw her in a dress at prom.. I took as many photo's of possible and she looked absolutely gorgeous! So anyway... I tried to keep it close to her own style but added a few little extra's to "spice it up" as it was! I created little mood boards to showcase a full outfit, although there may have been items in her own wardrobe she could mix in to keep the cost down.

Out Fit One....

As I know my friend likes to keep her wardrobe quite neutral and a little more masculine, I went for some simple little additions that would brighten up the outfit. I thought I may have been a little ambitious with the green blouse and yellow peep toes but I thought there was no harm starting big and toning it down!

As I thought, my friend wanted 'a little more casual and simple colours'. So I started to hunt about again and came up with two more options...

Next up, I muted down the colours but kept one burst. In the second, the bright bag which I absolutely adore. The simple black trousers and lightweight lace detail back blouse. I wanted to keep heels involved in the outfit due to it being a evening drink in a bar/club. I thought it was essential, along with the use of black, always a popular and safe colour to fall back on.

Finally a pieced together what I thought would be the best and favoured option. I knew she'd recently been admiring maroon skinny jeans so I thought it best to include this in one option. With a lower heel option, maroon skinnies, and button up chiffon shirt option with a cami underneath for modesty.
As predicted, the third was favoured and my work was done!

Take care :)
