"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different".. Coco Chanel. I shall live and die by this quote. Be who you want to be, not who someone wants you to be, it honestly is the difference between being happy and not. I aim to blog about fashion and all that surrounds it.

Throwback Thursday to the max!

So, my throw back is a true statement. Yesterday I delved back in time to the 1980s and attempted to rock it. This entailed a rather nice bargain beauty from Choice (company sister to Next)  and yay for bargains!

I'm getting a little obsessed with matching two pieces and there are some fab ones out and about. This one was originally £50 for the jacket and £30 for the trousers, in total in Choice I paid £29.00!!!!!!!!

So here it is a little funky 80s vibe (albeit before my birth... But the chiffon loveliness is totes gorge)

Zara palms

I love orange. And I also love slinky material. Combine the two, sell it in Zara and I'm your weakest link, easy.

There are honestly so many beautiful things in Zara, all the time. It's very hard to control yourself and maintain calm when purchasing and seems pay day had just been and I needed some nee bits for our trip to Toulouse next week, it was the obvious answer.

BONJOUR SILKY PANTS!

I saw these and knew straight away they needed to be sculpted to my behind and so be it.. Along with some new shoes to match of course! (My Topshop gladiators are getting a bit over worn!)

Head over to Zara guys and girls, so many things and so worth the pennies! Do it.  Do it.   Do it!!!

My outfit from yesterday;

Top Primark
Necklace H&M
Trousers Zara £29.99
Shoes Zara £59.99

Tassel tale's

Ever since I was little I have had a tassel obsession that has driven me crazy... But I love it! To this day, if I see some tassels it take me back to Greek islands and 'wild child' tassel crop tops by the pool! I wish I could find them now.. I would still so wear it with a little bad ass cartoon on my chest! If anyone knows of any... Holla!

Anyway, my grown up tassels have come in the form of Topshop's beautiful tie dye tassel dress! Absolute bargain and can be found online at this moment in time, it's so easy to wear even in some early English sun were having. I wore it to work the other day with my trusty Topshop gladiator boots and little denim jacket. Visit Toppyshoppy for all things tassely!

I love this dress.. So so much! It's unreal. I just want to constantly wear it.. Must invest in some accessories :)

Here's my look!

Power Pants!

I absolutely love a pair of Palazzo pants, I only had one pair until very recently when I decided enough was enough and I would literally die if I didn't get another pair pronto (obvs not). So the search began... I wanted high waisted, wideeeee legs and plain. Not much to ask for I didn't think?

It wasn't the easiest of searches, I'm not gonna lie, however, the pair that I did find.. Yay for me! I love them. Good old Asos saved the day and only for £22.00. Bargain.

Of course they needed a little debut (after alot of steam ironing) and what better place then at work!

Here's my new power panties.. And I still want to invest in more! POWER TO THE PALAZZO!

Crop top Topshop
Necklace ebay
Palazzo's Asos

(Needed a little cover up at half 7 when I left for work as it was a bit nippy!)

Anyone else palazzo'n up?

If not... You must!  Plain black ones are my next!

Popping Makeup

The other week a ex-house mate and friend of mine asked me to shoot her final year work for her exhibition, she's a MUA at the same University as me. Of course I was happy to help her out.

It was a 1950's/ pop art/ sailor theme. Over all it was a bit of a nightmare with dodgy lights, a half hearted 'studio' and limited time to edit in-between shifts I finally got there. Luckily Alix was a happy girl with the final outcome and me, I'm still trying to make my mind up but I thought I would share it with you all anyway!

Hope everyone's well and dodging the beautiful rain we seem to be constantly having!

Here it is!

Dancing with lions

So this is a random one.. My family, Fray and my sisters friend have all booked onto a Safari experience thingy, literally its at the top of my bucket list to bounce around in a Jeep watching all the animals in their natural environment, doing there thing. However, this isn't quite my dream but its a good step towards it at a fraction of the cost! So in August we're heading down to Kent for a full on African Safari experience!!! (Dusk and Dawn Jeep tours, tradish food, drink and even sleeping looking out on the Kent Plains of Africa). So I'm very much excited and once again whilst procrastinating, I've ended up on Topshop looking at a certain few 'new arrivals'.

And Oh God. What a surprise.... it's got me thinking.

I NEED SAFARI WEAR! Oh yes, I do.

Formal attire yet slightly lacking etiquette

The day finally arrived that allowed me, once and for all, to experience my first wedding (and wear a grown up outfit and not stick out like a sore thumb!). As some of you will know, I've been going on about what to wear for agesssss! So Ido apologise but that's now all in the past and you can finally see what I ended up wearing, you can't go wrong with a Zara number;

Dress Zara
Jacket H&M
Necklace Ebay
Bag Ebay
Shoes Carvela

I had to panic buy this little jacket two days before as after seeing the forecast I was set to panic/frost bite stations and luckily came across this little black jacket in H&M for £35.00... Saving the day once again, thank you, you gorgeous people!  The pictures may look all sunny but, only a wedding which Im attending, in May, would have a thunderstorm mid ceremony so you can hear bugger all in the church! Thankfully by the end it was a bit brighter and there were smiles all round :)

Fray and Me
Fray wore;
Suit Ben Sherman
Shirt & tie Next
Shoes Front

Here's just a few more photo's from the day, we had a awesome time...... Just incase you can't tell ;)
